This exclusive Mini Dresden Spool Pin Kit features various hand-selected 1930's reproduction and vintage-inspired precut diecut fabrics to make a darling "scrappy happy" Dresden plate to adorn the top of your Singer Featherweight or vintage Singer Sewing Machine! 
Not only is it decorative, but it serves a purpose, too...  The soft fabric of the mini Dresden Spool Pin Plate prevents the thread spool from touching and scratching the machine's surface as the spool spins round and round.

If you do not have a Buttonholer or eyelet cam to fit your Featherweight, or if you do not have a built-in eyelet function in your newer, modern machines that you can use, then there are many creative options for your center hole creation. 

Note:  The backside of the Mini Dresden Spool Pin Plate is purposely left unfinished because of it's tiny size.  This also accommodates the center hole to be made more easily, and the softness of just the Dresden pieces allows it to conform and lay more flush with the spool pin plate... And, it will always be seen right side up.  We've had our plates on our machines for years and they stay looking beautiful. However, feel free to be creative if you wish to add a backing.  We've seen some customers use felt, leather, other fabric, etc... Just remember to accommodate the center hole for the spool pin!  Have fun!
